The Danvest Power Box® + Wind turbines is a hybrid power plant for continuous and automated off-grid energy supply. Danvest's unique low-load and fast response capability enables high wind penetration. Direct fuel savings are 50 to 70% per year.
High wind penetration
The Danvest approach allows for installing a relatively large share of wind power capacity compared to diesel capacity. By flexibly operating between 0 and 100% load, Danvest fitted gensets will provide high 'direct' fuel savings at low LCOE.
Danvest uses CAT or Cummins gensets. Wind turbines of all major brands can be connected. Continuous performance is ensured by the robustness of the low-load diesel system. The Danvest system is based on diesel technology and is easy to install, easy to operate and easy to maintain. After a short training it can be operated by local staff. Danvest provides affordable and uninterrupted power supply at off-grid and weak-grid locations.

Danvest produces the - Danvest Power Box® -
containing a conventional diesel generator fitted with the unique Danvest system. This is also the core controller of the microgrid. Wind turbines simply connect and the plant is ready to save fuel.
Unique 'Low-load and Fast response' capability
A Danvest fitted genset is able to operate all the way down to zero load. At surplus wind energy the generator goes in reverse operation and diesel consumption drops to almost zero. The wind draws the engine. At a higher surplus, the engine can even de-clutch from the alternator to fully stop. The alternator remains connected to the busbar. At any of these low operation modes, the Danvest fitted genset is always able to instantly respond on any wind drop or load increase. Danvest ensures a dynamic spinning reserve that hardly consumes any fuel.
The Danvest dumpload controller assists the genset during fast load variations. It also secures a load balance between wind energy fluctuations and variations in demand when the genset is in reverse operation or when the engine is clutched out.
